Health Data Processing Consent
Effective 2026-09-08. This document describes exactly what health data Brick processes and why, so your consent is informed and specific — as GDPR Article 9 requires. This consent is separate from the Terms and Privacy Policy and is never bundled with them.
What health data we process
- Heart rate (live streams and summaries) and heart-rate variability (HRV)
- Sleep duration and quality scores
- Resting heart rate and body weight
- Subjective wellness check-ins (energy, soreness, stress, motivation)
Why we process it
- Estimating training load, fitness, fatigue, and recovery
- Daily readiness scoring that adapts your plan up or down
- Sleep, nutrition, and hydration targets
- Post-workout analysis (e.g. heart-rate response to heat, cardiac drift)
- Measuring your adherence to recommendations and how your fitness, recovery, and performance change over time
- Personalizing future plans from your individual response history (e.g. how you respond to load ramps, sleep, and fueling)
What we never do
- Sell or advertise against your health data
- Share it with anyone except processors listed in the Privacy Policy, or a coach you explicitly authorize
- Use it to train third-party AI models
Withdrawing consent
Withdraw health-data consent anytime in Settings → Privacy. Withdrawal (1) records that consent is no longer granted, (2) deletes stored health snapshots (HRV, sleep, resting HR, weight from wearables) and health-derived reinforcement data (persisted readiness / recovery scores, sleep adherence signals, sleep/recovery recommendation events), and (3) stops wellness sync and health-based AI / readiness / targets features immediately. Training activities, workout adherence, and your account remain until you use Delete account. You can re-enable health-data consent later from the same Settings section. Separately, you may opt in to contribute anonymized training outcome statistics to cohort benchmarks (including age band and sex used only in aggregate cells with n≥30 suppression); that opt-in is optional and withdrawing it does not degrade coaching.
